Liverpool FC open talks’ over Origi and set transfer fee with big Serie A club interested.
Lazio have reportedly ‘opened talks’ with Liverpool over Divock Origi, per Italian daily newspaper Il Tempo (via Lazio News 24).
However, Lazio have already contacted intermediaries of the player and club. Maurizio Sarri, the current manager at Lazio, is said to have approved Origi as a transfer target, while Liverpool have supposedly indicated a willingness to sell.
The desire to have replacements during AFCON was previously thought likely not to include any departure for Origi in the January transfer window, but the striker has been injured since scoring the winner against AC Milan in the Champions League.
However, if he’s unable to contribute on the pitch, Liverpool could be tempted to cash in for the right price.
Origi has scored 40 goals in his time at Liverpool, including some truly iconic moments including the Liverpool second-leg comeback against Spanish giants Barcelona.
