Numerous wingers have been connected to Liverpool, and Nico Williams, who plays for La Liga team Athletic Bilbao, is the most recent name to surface.

Liverpool and Manchester United have reportedly knocked on the door of the 19-year-old winger, who was a revelation in Spain last season, according to a recent report by Spanish source Fichajes.

The teen sensation may join an elite club on the continent, and the San Mames organization will have a fantastic chance to profit from his sale, according to the news source.

Williams played in 26 games in all competitions for Bilbao’s Segunda Division B team in the 2020–21 season, directly contributing to 21 goals (9 goals and 12 assists).

He struggled to earn regular starts for the senior team last season but still made a huge impression, particularly in cup matches.

The youthful player, who primarily plays on the right wing, scored twice in the victory over Mancha Real in the third round of the Copa Del Rey.

In addition, he assisted his squad in a victory over Barcelona during the pre-quarterfinals.

Williams scored the game-winning goal in the Super Copa semifinal to defeat Diego Semione’s Atletico Madrid team.

His current Los Leones contract, which has a 50 million euro (£42 million) release clause (AS), expires in 2024.

Inaki Williams, Nico’s older brother, has repeatedly been rumored to be considering leaving Bilbao, but the 28-year-old has always chosen to remain.

Will he suggest that his younger sibling depart for a larger club? Time will only tell.
