Liverpool Predicted starting XI vs Brighton as Jurgen Klopp faces Darwin Nunez’s puzzle

Liverpool will host Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Following the international break, Premier League football will resume on Saturday with Liverpool hosting Brighton at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp will be without a handful of injured players for the match, and he also has a Darwin Nunez headache on his hands after the Uruguayan forward’s recent “heavy travel and games.”

Alisson, goalkeeper

Over the past week, Alisson has played back-to-back games for Brazil as his nation defeated Ghana and Tunisia. The 29-year-old will rejoin Klopp’s team right away as the Reds attempt to record their third clean sheet of the season.

Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, and Tsimikas on defence

Trent Alexander-Arnold was part of the England squad in the Nations League matches against Germany and Italy. Surprisingly, however, he was unable to get onto the field for either of those games.

Before the World Cup this winter, the 23-year-old will be driven to show what he can accomplish for his club. The star will start on the right side of Liverpool’s defence against Brighton, with Kostas Tsimikas taking Andy Robertson’s place on the left due to injury.

Although he has occasionally looked vulnerable this season, Virgil van Dijk will continue to play at the center of the defence and may be partnered with Joel Matip. Matip has played just 100 minutes of Premier League football so far this year, but he was a pillar for the team the last campaign.

Thiago, Fabinho, and Henderson are in the middle.

This season, Liverpool have experienced a midfield injury crisis, with players like Jordan Henderson, Thiago, and Naby Keita all being forced to miss extended periods. However, Thiago and Henderson should both start against the Seagulls as they are both now fully fit.

The pair ought to stand directly in front of fellow midfielder Fabinho, who will be in charge of defending the defence and disrupting play. The Brazilian international has started all but one of Liverpool’s games this season; he entered as a late substitute in his nation’s victory over Ghana on Friday.

Forwards: Jota, Salah, and Diaz

Due to some of his key forwards undergoing lengthy flights over the last week, Klopp will need to make some difficult attacking selections before the match on Saturday.

Nunez may have been overlooked by the 55-year-old in favour of asking Diogo Jota to take the lead. The Reds may field a front line of Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah to support the Portugal international as they seek only their third Premier League victory of the season.
