Liverpool star out for the rest of the seaon following a hip injury ahead of Fulham clash

Liverpool prepare to face Fulham on Wednesday night, it has been reported that Thiago Alcantara is set to be out for the season due to a hip injury.

The former Bayern Munich player  has featured in  just 93 minutes of football since returning from his previous setback in April.

However, Times reporter Paul Joyce has confirmed that Liverpool midfielder Thiago’s hip injury is still bothering him, as evidenced by the fact that he will miss the rest of the season in addition to his team’s upcoming match against Fulham.

The 32-year-old is scheduled to have surgery, which could harm his future absence from the pitch, which may be good news for the Anfield fans.

However, Thiago’s injury will make him unavailable for the time being as Jurgen Klopp chooses his Liverpool midfield for the match against Fulham as well as matches against Brentford, Leicester, Aston Villa, and Southampton.

It is impossible to undervalue how outstanding the Spaniard has been since joining the team in 2020, as described as “sensational” by Jurgen Klopp himself in a talkSPORT interview.

Liverpool, however, has been succeeding without Thiago as evidenced in games before up to their upcoming match against Fulham.

The Reds’ midfield has been the team’s best because of Curtis Jones, who is excelling in the former Bayern Munich lynchpin’s left-sided midfield position, Fabinho, who is showing signs of improvement, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is dazzling as an inverted right-back.

In fact, Liverpool have been at their very best this campaign in the last couple of games.

As a result, they are capable of surviving the final stretch of the season without the midfield maestro in the middle of the park.
