According to reports Micheal Olise is heading to Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace for £55million.

The German giants have met the south London club’s release clause of £55m while the winger will bank wages of £220,000-a-week.

It is the second time Olise has decided against joining Chelsea while it is understood Palace did everything to keep their star player.

Yet he was keen to move to Bavaria, where he will have Harry Kane and Eric Dier as team-mates in the Bundesliga next season.

Olise, 22, has been at Selhurst Park for five years after he arrived from Reading for £8.37 million.

Although the departure is a blow for Palace, manager Oliver Glasner will have funds to bring in new players.

Olise, also eligible to play for England and Nigeria, made 82 Premier League appearances for Palace, scoring 14 times.

According to Nathan Gissing, Olise wanted to be the highest-paid player at Stamford Bridge – meaning he likely demanded over £325,000-a-week.

Man Utd, Manchester City and Newcastle were also interested in signing the Crystal Palace man.

Olise scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 19 appearances last season.

He rejected interest from Chelsea last summer to pen a new four-year deal with Palace.

The contract included a release clause.

Crystal Palace are also understood to be at risk of losing Eberechi Eze ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The Eagles have also set a £60m price tag on the England winger.
