“Andy Caroll pro max”.. “Doesn’t look like a solid player” – Watch Fans blast performance from Liverpool star during 0-0 draw against Everton
Darwin Nunez, the Reds’ striker who played in the team’s 0-0 draw with Everton, has come under fire from Liverpool supporters on social media.
Liverpool hoped to build on its victories in its previous two games into their Premier League meeting against Everton.
But they were held to a scoreless draw at Goodison Park, making it a miserable afternoon for them.
In spite of not playing well against their Merseyside rivals, Jordan Pickford made eight excellent saves for the Reds.
To make matters worse, the woodwork rejected them three times. Everton had opportunities as well, but Alisson in the Liverpool goal was equal to the task.
On the day, the Brazilian international made three stops, and Frank Lampard’s team also smacked the post once.
Jurgen Klopp and company will be upset to go home empty-handed despite the afternoon’s events.
In their first six Premier League games, they have only won two.
This season, the fans have been just as irate as the squad, if not more.
One of the main causes of annoyance for the Reds supporters was Nunez, who was reinstated to the starting lineup after serving a three-match suspension.
Pickford stopped one of the Uruguayan’s magnificent shots, but he was unable to make an impact the rest of the way.
He received criticism from Liverpool supporters in addition to being made fun of by rivals.
