Bayern Munich makes Sadio Mané ‘decision’ as former Liverpool star may be back to England
Bayern Munich are reportedly looking for a new club for Sadio Mané, plus Tottenham is apparently in the market for a Harry Kane replacement.
With a victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Liverpool boosted its chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League, but it still faces a difficult task.
In recent weeks, Jürgen Klopp has been using a new system, possibly with next season and fresh additions in mind. However, it is still unknown which players the club will try to sign or target for transfer during the summer.
A host of possible new signings have been linked with moving to Liverpool in recent weeks. Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch and Brighton’s Macc Allister are the players who have dominated the Reds rumor news.
Things have not gone as planned for Sadio Mané since he left Liverpool last summer to join Bayern Munich. The Senegal international has scored 12 goals in 35 games, but that fails to adequately express his performance.
Mané and teammate Leroy Sané allegedly got into a fight just last month after Bayern lost to Manchester City in the Champions League. Mané may be moving this summer if stories are to be true.
Journalist Christian Falk of Sport BILD claims that Bayern is aggressively “looking for a buyer” for Mané this summer. Even the possibility of Chelsea making a movd for the former Liverpool star has been suggested.
“Meanwhile, FC Bayern is looking for a buyer for Sadio Mané,” Falk wrote for caughtoffside.
“A trade with (Victor) Osimhen would be appreciated but is unrealistic. Mané is said to earn €12m net in Munich. Naples doesn’t pay that.
“In Munich, however, people took notice, as it is said that Chelsea is interested in signing Mané. FC Bayern would be willing to negotiate if asked.”
According to French news outlet L’Equipe, Spurs are interested in signing Lille striker Jonathan David. It has also been reported that Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race to sign the Canada international.
Further to this, it has also been suggested that Tottenham are looking at possibly signing David as a replacement for Harry Kane. The England international’s contract runs out in 2024, and there has been speculation that he could be on the move this summer.
