“He will get you sacked” Ralf Rangnick told to sell Manchester United star if he does not want to lose his job
“He will get you sacked” Ralf Rangnick has been warned to sell Manchester United forward Anthony Martial if he does not want to lose his job.
Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has been told to sell forward Anthony Martial “as quickly” as he can before he ends up getting him the “sack.”
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan claims that Martial has the “heart the size of a pea” and failed to live up to his potential at Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old future at United has been plunged into doubt with recent news linking him with a move to Newcastle United, PSG, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid.
Martial is under contract with the Red Devils until 2024. But could be sold in January if the right offer is made.
He has only managed 10 appearances across all competitions this season for Manchester United and scored only once.
The France international has not featured in Rangnick’s first three matches since the German took over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, Simon Jordan has now suggested that Ralf Rangnick should show Martial the exit door.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Simon Jordan said: “Get the cab ready and put Martial in it as quickly as you possibly can and you’ve got an opportunity.
“Because I think Martial is one of those players that gets you the sack.
“I think he is the archetypal Manchester United player of the last half a decade that, on paper, looks a great player, got all the ability, but when it comes to it [he] has the heart the size of a pea.
“He wants to go, so good riddance if I’m United.”
The Red Devils Premier League clash on Tuesday against Brentford was postponed due to an outbreak of COVID-19 at the club.
United will now return to action in the Premier League on Saturday when they host Brighton at Old Trafford.
