His arrogance is causing the Club; Agents gives verdict on Liverpool star player

Famous Football agent Rob Segal has shared an interesting Trent Alexander-Arnold verdict amid his poor run of form for Liverpool so far this season.

The Reds right-back, who made his name when Liverpool defeated Man City in a two-leg Champions League quarterfinal in 2018, has since gone on to have an incredible Anfield career overall.

Under Jurgen Klopp, Alexander-Arnold has won numerous prestigious awards as a champion, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

The 23-year-old, however, has endured defensive difficulties thus far in the 2022–2023 season and has come under fire from several media outlets, most recently following a lacklustre performance in Liverpool’s humiliating 4–1 loss to Napoli in Europe.

Speaking to CaughtOffside, super agent Segal has claimed that you can feel the youngster’s ‘arrogance’ on the pitch for Liverpool – made evident by his lack of intensity when tracking back.

He explained: “Liverpool have major injury problems which haven’t helped and a player like Trent Alexander-Arnold probably needs a prolonged rest.

“However, because of his standing within the club, you can feel his arrogance when he is slowly running back to goal. Alexander-Arnold knows that no matter what he does, right or wrong, he is likely to start week in, week out.

“It is no secret that Alexander-Arnold is a lot better going forward than he is defensively, so his weaknesses need to be covered and unfortunately for Klopp, at the moment, none of his side’s backlines are playing particularly well. The timing of their drop-off in form has been really unfortunate.”

Top teams frequently add talented new players to test Alexander-Arnold and other mainstays and keep them on their toes.

Alexander-Arnold might be prompted to work more defensively to earn a permanent spot in Klopp’s starting lineup if there was any actual competition for the right-back position.
