“If anyone deserves to win” – Luis Enrique makes bold claim ahead of Liverpool vs Real Madrid champions league final

Luis Enrique believes Real Madrid will win the Champions League final against Liverpool. This season, no club, according to the Spaniard, deserves the trophy more than the others.

On May 28, Real Madrid will face Liverpool in Paris for the Champions League championship. In the knockout stages, the La Liga heavyweights defeated PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester City, while the Reds defeated Inter, Benfica, and Villarreal.

Enrique confirmed his support for the team from his homeland in a press conference today. The manager of the Spanish national team said:

“If anyone deserves to win this Champions League, it’s Real Madrid. To be fair.”

The Champions League final pits Real Madrid against Liverpool once more. Both teams previously clashed in the 2018 edition’s summit clash, where Mohamed Salah was injured.

Jurgen Klopp spoke on facing Los Blancos in the final;

“I think he’ll be out of the final but I don’t know. He’s limping, so it’s maybe not the best sign. Lower part of the body. I know what it is but don’t want to say.”

However, he later clarified and added:

“Thiago is not good, but we don’t know enough yet. He can walk, which is a good sign, but after some rest, we will see.

“I don’t want to talk now about it. Let us see. We want to wait until we know more about it and have confirmation.”

“Div is out [of the Champions League final],” Klopp said. “He suffered an injury in the final minutes of training, which is why he wasn’t involved in this game.”
