“It would be the agency dream”- Agents  insists on getting in-form World Cup star to Liverpool, rules out Tottenham move

The representatives of a World Cup star reportedly want him to join Liverpool, while Tottenham have little chance of completing his signing

Tuesday’s 3-0 victory over Croatia sent Argentina to the World Cup final. Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani scored to help France defeat Morocco last night, and they will now face Sebastián Scaloni’s side.

Argentina last appeared in the final match in 2014, where they fell to Germany 1-0 in extra. After defeating Croatia 4-2 in the final four years ago, France is looking to become the first country to retain the trophy since Brazil in 1962.

Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe have stolen most of the headlines this tournament. But there have also been several breakout stars.

Enzo Fernandez has bossed the midfield for Argentina on their route to the final, while Sofyan Amrabat has done similar while representing Morocco.

Then there is Dutchman Cody Gakpo, who finished as his nation’s leading scorer while maintaining his outstanding PSV form by scoring three goals.

Funny enough, Liverpool has recently been connected to all three of those players. But the focus of this report is Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

The 26-year-old has been a tireless worker in the center of the pitch, giving his defenders more than enough protection and assisting Morocco’s counterattacks with his sharp vision.

Liverpool have expressed interest in him following his outstanding performances on the biggest stage of them all. Also, the Reds seem to be in a strong position to acquire him.

Earlier in the week, Amrabat admitted ‘it is a great honour to be associated with these types of clubs’. However, he also doubled down on his commitment to Fiorentina.

Reporter Gianluca Di Marzio from Italy has now provided information on the Serie A player and his potential future.

Di Marzio thinks that helping Amrabat sign with Liverpool is the agency’s “dream” for the player. Despite the player fitting their manager’s style of play, Spurs appear to be out of the race.

“He has all the characteristics he needs to play under Antonio Conte,” the journalist told Dutch outlet Soccer News. “But at the moment they are very happy with [Rodrigo] Bentancur, and he plays in the same position.

“But I think Amrabat’s agency, Stellar, is going to attempt to bring him to Liverpool in the Premier League.

“Everyone sees something in that, it would be the agency’s dream as well as that of the player in question. And Klopp wants to capture a new central midfielder. There have been talks but no official moves yet.”

A move to Liverpool over Spurs certainly makes sense for Amrabat, knowing that the Reds are in dire need of a midfield revamp. This is because their players either being old or prone to injuries. Due to this, if Amrabat wants regular game time when moving to the Premier League, Liverpool will be the best option.
