Jurgen Klopp ready to sign the new Casemiro after midfielder admits: “Liverpool is a team I would play for”

Liverpool fans have constantly stated this season that it’s far too easy for opposing teams to cut through the Reds’ midfield.

The summer transfer window was dominated by calls for a new midfielder to be signed and the interest was there.

Liverpool failed in their bid to sign  Aurelien Tchouameni before he joined Real Madrid and they also wanted Borussia Dortmund youngster Jude Bellingham.

There will be opportunities to bring in the ideal midfielders during the upcoming winter and transfer windows, and it makes sense that Liverpool would need to recruit a couple of them.

The contracts of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, and James Milner are all in their final year, and it doesn’t appear that any of them will be getting renewed.

Both Thiago and Jordan Henderson are getting older, and the former has been exceedingly inconsistent this year.

It appears that there is interest in a player who has openly declared his affection for Liverpool because central midfield needs fresh blood.

According to Spanish outlet, SPORT, Liverpool are competing with the likes of Real Madrid for the signature of Joao Gomes.

The report adds that Flamengo are also already looking for a replacementwhich further suggests the young midfielder could be ready to leave Brazil and take his career to the next level in Europe.

The youngster is a big fan of Liverpool player Thiago “I look at Thiago Alcantara,” Gomes recently said.

There’s no reason to suggest that he will be as good as the Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool great but he’s certainly an exciting player and seems to be well-suited to Jurgen Klopp’s style of play.

Speaking to ESPN, the 21-year-old revealed that he would love to play for Liverpool and wants to compete in the Champions League.

He said: “Liverpool is a team I would play for.

“Playing in the Champions League is my biggest dream. My biggest dream in football.”
