Latest Bukayo Saka Injury updates ahead of Manchester United clash
Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka remains a doubt for the gunners trip to Manchester United for the Premier League clash on Thursday night.
Saka was on the scoresheet for Mikel Arteta’s side, in their 2-0 victory over Newcastle United during the weekend. But he limped off in the second half of the game, with a thigh problem.
The issue was thought not to be serious as confirmed by coach Mikel Arteta in his Post-match conference. ‘It was an action where he said he felt something muscular. He wasn’t comfortable to continue and we’ll have to assess him.”
Arsenal will hope to continue their good run of form when they make the trip to Old Trafford on Thursday night.
According to Daily Mail, Arsenal is hopeful Saka will be fit for the all-important clash, as they continue to assess him ahead of the trip.
The 20-year-old has made 13 appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side, starting in 12 of those matches and his goal against Newcastle was only his second in this season’s Premier League.
The England international has been a big part of Arsenal’s fine form in recent weeks, seeing them climb to fifth in the table and only behind West Ham on fourth on goal difference.
Arteta remains without long-term injury concerns, Granit Xhaka and Sead Kolasinac for the match at Old Trafford, but aside from Saka, his team is in good shape after the comfortable win against Newcastle.
