“I have made my final decision “- Liverpool and Arsenal battle for the signature of €50m Villarreal star
“I have made my final decision “- Liverpool and Arsenal are set to compete for the signature of Villarreal Youngster
According to reports, Premier League rival Liverpool and Arsenal, are in fierce competition to sign one of La Liga’s most promising young talent Yeremy Pino
The Gunners have already had a successful summer transfer season, signing Fabio Vieira from Portugal, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.
In order to cover for and compete with Bukayo Saka, especially on the right wing, manager Mikel Arteta is also eager to bring in a new winger. The team even briefly pursued a deal for Raphinha, though he was only interested in joining Barcelona.
Arsenal appears to have settled on Yeremi Pino of Villarreal after keeping an eye out for potential new attackers who can play across the frontline.
According to Radio Villarreal, The Yellow Submarine are giving serious consideration to cashing in on the 19-year-old, who also goes by the nickname Yeremy.
The youngster, who has an €80 million (£67.5 million) release clause, is perhaps Villarreal’s most promising prospect.
He had a breakout season the season before as Villarreal won the Europa League, defeating Arsenal en route to the semi-final. He scored six goals and provided four assists in 21 starts in La Liga last season.
Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for Yeremy of €40 million (£33 million), which is only half of his release clause, according to Radio Villarreal.
The Spanish side is aware that the €80 million price tag is unattainable, but they are aiming to get as close to €60 million (£50 million) as possible. However, the longer the negotiations last, the more opportunity Arsenal will give rival teams to hijack the deal.
According to reports, Liverpool are also considering the promising winger as a viable option, but like Arsenal, they are hesitant to match Villarreal’s asking price of £50 million.
