Report: Liverpool and Manchester United keeping an eye on Bayern Munich star contract situation
Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly keeping an eye on former Arsenal man Serge Gnabry’s contract situation as the German International could make a comeback to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old is entering the final 12 months of his deal with the Bundesliga giants and is reportedly wanting a better offer to remain at the club.
A return to Germany helped revived his career as Gnabry showed the form that has made him the player he is today.
Successful spells with Bundesliga outfits Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim from 2016-2018 saw him earned a transfer to Bayern who have benefited highly from his services.
Gnabry has netted 10 goals and three assists in the league for Bayern this season and has helped the club win the title in each of those years.
But, According to Sky Sports Germany a
difference in salaries could see him leave Bavaria this summer.
Gnabry’s current deal expires in 2023 and, alongside the two Premier League giants who are said to be closely watching, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keeping an eye on the situation.
However, a deal to keep him at the Allianz Arena though may not be an issue as the report states he wants to remain with the club and wants to be paid the same as teammates Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane, who are both said to be earning €15million (approx. £12.7m) a year.
As it stands the Bundesliga champions are doing everything possible to keep him as coach Julian Nagelsmann does not want him to leave the club.
