Liverpool FC has sent summer transfer hints to Christopher Nkunku
Christopher Nkunku of RB Leipzig was recently awarded the Bundesliga’s best player for 2021/22, and the France international has had an outstanding season.
With 34 goals and 20 assists, the 24-year-old, who can play anywhere on the frontline, has really exploded and shown the kind of form that has allegedly caught the interest of Europe’s elite clubs, including the Reds.
According to L’Equipe (via Sport Witness), Nkunku simply replied, “Liverpool,” when asked whose team he plays on the video game FIFA.
The French publication sees this as a possible transfer hint as to where Nkunku might wind up next, despite Leipzig’s insistence that he would not leave this summer.
With the Reds having recently signed Luis Daz and the current front three all having contracts until 2023, the timing of his exit from Germany may actually suit them.
According to recent reports in Germany, signing Nkunku (£63m) will cost at least €75 million.
