Liverpool receives ‘huge’ Jude Bellingham boost as Dortmund offer being tabled

Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham has no intention of signing a new Borussia Dortmund contract according to Football Insider.

With a new offer prepared during new negotiations this week, the German giants are attempting to tie down the valuable asset to a better deal in order to fight off the top clubs vying to sign him.

But, the 19-year-old is not planning not extending his Dortmund stay as he gears up for a huge-money summer transfer.

That will be a “huge” boost to his suitors, sources explain, both in the Premier League and on the Continent.

Liverpool and City are pushing hard to lure the England sensation, while he is also a firm target of Real Madrid.

They are likely to have to spend £120million-plus to sign Bellingham this summer, more than four times what Dortmund paid in 2020 when he was 16.

Bellingham has a contract with the Bundesliga team through the 2025 summer.

He is the top midfield target for Liverpool this summer, but City also wants him because they want to pair him up with star striker and former teammate Erling Haaland.

Bellingham’s final destination will be heavily influenced by financial considerations, as well as the player’s desires.

Liverpool had been close to securing an agreement with the England star in the summer and one well-placed source has told Football Insider that the “deal was virtually done” at one stage.

Bellingham and his father Mark had been convinced at the time that moving to Merseyside was the best next step in his career, but a complete agreement could not be reached at the time.

The midfielder ultimately decided to remain at Borussia Dortmund, and this season, both for the club and his country, he has elevated his performances to a new level.
