REPORT JUST IN: Liverpool set to seal sensational Jude Bellingham after talks

According to information reported by Football Insider, Liverpool is moving forward quickly with the surprise signing of Borussia Dortmund youngster Jude Bellingham.

It has been widely reported that the German club, despite intense interest from clubs led by Liverpool, will not sell the midfielder, 19, this summer as reported earlier.

But that has not hindered Liverpool from working on a deal for Bellingham to join in the summer of 2023.

In a similar manner to what they did with Naby Keita while he was at RB Leipzig, the Merseysiders are working behind the scenes to put a deal in place.

Keita joined Liverpool in July of the next year, but the club confirmed his acquisition in August of the same year.

The Reds desire a similar arrangement with Bellingham, who the recruitment team has identified as the central midfielder who can take the side to the next level.

The England international has established himself as one of Dortmund’s standout performers since his transfer from Birmingham City in July 2020, but manager Jurgen Klopp has made no attempt to hide his admiration of him.

Bellingham enjoyed a sensational 2021-22 campaign, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists from 44 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund.

Klopp looks to bolster his ageing midfield with the likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and James Milner are all over the age of 30, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out of contract next summer.
