Liverpool are presently yfaced with injury crisis in the midfield and look to solve the problem before the September 1 deadline day transfer window

Despite having four midfielders out injured, Jurgen Klopp’s team isn’t Liverpool set to table £33.7m for star midfielder that could solve their midfield problemsn a season-threatening situation just yet, but any additional injuries might start to cast doubt on their title hopes.

The German already has Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Thiago, and Naby Keita out; the latter, though, is only sick and will shortly return, but doubts about his injury history persist.

When Liverpool and Fulham drew 2-2 on the opening day of the new Premier League season, several media outlets had a crazy reaction.

However, some supporters are concerned that Liverpool lacks the midfield firepower to match their caliber in goal, defense, and attack.

Due to the higher quality level of Manchester City’s midfield, they won the title last season instead of the Reds.

It’s too early to predict how well Liverpool will perform this year, but there is room for improvement in the midfield, both in terms of depth and quality.

Even while players like Fabio Carvalho and Harvey Elliott are highly promising, there is a noticeable decline in quality from Fabinho and Thiago to the rest of the group.

According to Liverpool Echo via  Calciomercato a report states that Liverpool are to “launch a €40M bid” (roughly €33.7M depending on the exchange rate) for AC Milan star Ismael Benaccer.

The midfielder meets all of Klopp’s requirements for a midfielder and has a €50 million (£42 million) and wins the ball with alarming regularity, can drive into midfield, and isn’t afraid to move around physically.

Most importantly, the 5ft9 Algerian is very press resistant and doesn’t often make errors which is obviously important for an elite team.

The biggest challenge will be how the Reds will be able to convince AC Milan to sell Bennacer ahead of their Serie A title defence which kicks off next weekend.
