If the report from Spain is true, Liverpool might sign Villarreal star Yeremy Pino this month.

The Reds ought to use their remaining finances to bring in a midfielder and are now understood to have made a £40 million offer for Pino.

Arsenal and Liverpool have reportedly made a bid of €40 million for the Villarreal winger, but Xavi Jorquera claims the Spanish club is seeking €60 million.

According to AS  a bid in the region of £34M to £42M would be accepted, potentially making Pino the club’s most expensive sale ever.

Pino is statistically an ideal fit for Jurgen Klopp’s side and ranks in the 99th percentile for shots on target (%), average shot distance, blocks, passes blocked and shots blocked.

Although Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah are the only natural wingers at Liverpool, the club lacks depth on the wings, therefore despite the claims, I don’t anticipate Klopp to add Pino.

Following Thiago’s hamstring injury this weekend, I don’t see how Liverpool can continue to be without a new midfielder.

Sporting Midfielder Matheus Nunes has recently been linked with a move to Anfield and it will be wise to sign him this season even if they plan to wait for Jude Bellingham next year.

The Portuguese midfielder seems tailormade for Klopp’s side as he has the strength and tackling ability to be very effective in the middle of the park while also possing the creativity, vision and passing ability.
