According to reports from Football Insider, Liverpool has joined Premier League rivals in the chase for Juventus star Adrien Rabiot as they prepare to rebuild their midfield this summer.

As Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and maybe James Milner are all expected to depart Anfield for free, it is said that the Merseysiders are aiming to acquire at least two new midfielders and as many as three.

Earlier report this show that rivals Man City and Man United are chasing Rabiot, 27, as he prepares to leave Juventus when his contract expires in June.

It is believed Liverpool are attracted to the France international as a free transfer would free up funds for an A-list signing like Jude Bellingham or Moises Caicedo.

However, sources close to Rabiot have revealed he wants a “huge” contract in order to cash in on his free agent status.

He currently earns a reported wage of almost £145,000-a-week in Turin, so a pay rise is within Liverpool’s remit given their recently-revealed salary bill of £366million for last season.

Rabiot, whose contract expires at the end of this year, has spoken publicly his desire to compete in the Champions League, but Juventus are now 12 points outside the top four in Serie A.

The midfielder also disclosed that he has held no conversations regarding renewing his contract at the Old Lady.

Both Manchester teams appear to be on track to make the playoffs this season, while Liverpool, with their recent comeback, are only three points off of the top four in the Premier League.

While playing for Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, Rabiot won seven league titles. He also played a significant role in helping France finish second in the 2022 World Cup.

This season, he has started every game for Juventus, making 29 appearances and scoring seven goals and two assists.
