Liverpool transfer: Liverpool attentive and keen to swoop potential free transfer target, Arsenal & Chelsea also join the race
Wilfried Zaha’s position is allegedly being closely monitored by Liverpool as his deal with Crystal Palace is about to expire.
According to 90min, the Reds are one of the clubs keeping an eye on the situation of the Ivory Coast international, along with clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea. He could be one of the biggest names available as a free agent next summer.
Given that Sadio Mane left for Bayern Munich in the summer, Liverpool would undoubtedly benefit from adding a seasoned Premier League player like Zaha, especially given how difficult it has been for them to find a suitable replacement.
For Jurgen Klopp’s team, Luis Diaz has performed admirably, but Mohamed Salah’s performance has dipped recently, and Darwin Nunez hasn’t exactly had a strong debut at Anfield.
A skilled player like Zaha, who is good with the ball and can threaten the goal from either the wide or the center, must have a space open in Liverpool’s front three.
As a replacement for Nicolas Pepe, Zaha appears to be a good match for Arsenal, as Mikel Arteta lacks much depth behind players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Zaha may be the ideal choice to provide Chelsea with the long-term alternative for Eden Hazard that the Blues have needed for a while after Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech failed to make an impact.
