Liverpool transfer: Liverpool ready to swoop for unsettled Tottenham star in SHOCK transfer
Liverpool are reportedly set for the surprise transfer of Tottenham forward Son Heung-min as he weighs up the next step in his career.
The South Korean international joined Spurs in 2015 and has scored an incredible 136 goals in 341 appearances. Last season, he shared the Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.
Could Son now be slated to start at Anfield next to Salah? The Reds are among the top clubs on alert for the 30-year-old as he considers his next move, according to reports in Germany.
Son’s status is reportedly being monitored by Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, according to Sport1, and one can only assume that Tottenham would prefer to trade Son abroad rather than to a Premier League competitor.
Son, a world-class player during his time in England, seems to be the perfect fit for Liverpool, which is currently struggling as a result of the summer transfer of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich.
Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz have demonstrated some promise, but Son has more Premier League experience and has the potential to contribute right immediately.
From Son’s perspective, collaborating with Jurgen Klopp may also be ideal for him as he seeks to finally win some hardware after Spurs failed to do so during his tenure at the club.
