Liverpool transfer: Liverpool recieve transfer massive boost as Wolves reveals transfer fee for Matheus Nunes
Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes
Liverpool are warned that the transfer of Matheus Nunes might cost them £76 million.
Over the past few months, the Reds have been constantly mentioned as potential buyers for the midfielder.
Before he completed a £38 million transfer to Wolves, the rumors initially surfaced last summer while he was still playing for Sporting Lisbon.
Even though Nunes is a new member of the Wolves team, speculation over his future persists. Additionally, news that Liverpool was still interested in the player surfaced last week.
Even Liverpool might sign Nunes at the end of the current campaign, according to one rumor.
After just one season in the Premier League, it is unclear whether the Reds will actually make a bid for the player.
Former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson believes that, if the Reds are to sign Nunes, they may have to pay double what Wolves paid in order to get a deal over the line.
“It’s hard to believe that Wolves would sell one of their main men for a £6 million profit,” Johnson told Betfred.
“If Liverpool offered Wolves double what they paid for him then they’d probably usher him out of the door.
“I think Wolves would certainly hold out for more money, but I definitely believe he’s a good player and he’s caught the eye of many clubs.”
