Jose Enrique, a former left-back for Liverpool, has pushed the Reds to recruit Raphinha from Leeds United before Arsenal. If they are able to get the 25-year-old, he has stated that the team won’t need to make any further additions during this window.

The Brazilian player and the Gunners have been heavily linked (via The Athletic). Enrique, though, is confident that he will be the ideal addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

The 36-year-old suggested that he might be the “ideal” signing for the Reds on his official Twitter profile.

Enrique responded to a tweet that claimed Klopp might improve Raphinha’s game. As he tweeted:

“He will be our perfect signing for this season and we don’t need anyone else if we sign him.”

In the summer of 2020, Raphinha moved from Ligue 1 team Rennes to Leeds United. With 17 goals and 12 assists from 67 games in all competitions, he has developed into a crucial member of the west Yorkshire team.

He has established himself as a regular on the international level with Brazil because to his exploits for Leeds. In nine games with the Selecao, the 25-year-old has three goals and two assists.

Along with Chelsea and Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly interested in the former Vitoria Guimaraes player (via Fabrizio Romano).

The 25-year-old, though, is bent on heading to Barcelona and has rebuffed Manchester United’s advances.
