Mike Arteta Provides latest Aubameyang and Partey’s injury update ahead of  Liverpool clash.

Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has revealed that he is not certain striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyanga and midfielder  Thomas Partey will be fit for Premier League clash against Liverpool.

The Gunners will take the trip to Anfield on Saturday evening, were they have failed to record a win in over 5 seasons.

Arsenal captain, Aubameyang was ruled out of Gabon’s world cup qualifier against Egypt during the week and returned to the club earlier than expected. Arteta has confirmed that the strikers return to north London was not intended.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Arteta said: “No it wasn’t pre-planned. We had to assess him and see how he is and make decisions.

“We have a lot of players who have been through different games, issues, little injuries. So today we have to test everybody and see how we are today and tomorrow.”

When asked if the 32-year-Old came back early due to injury, he replied “Let’s see how everybody is. We have to see them today before assessing and making a judgement on how everybody is.”

Also, midfielder, Thomas Partey is suffering from a groin injury that eventually kept him out of the international break.

Arteta has now confirmed that the Ghanaian International is a doubt for the match.

“He couldn’t play for the national team. He really tried to do that because obviously they had a massive game and he really pushed for that one, but it wasn’t enough to do that.

“Again, that’s something we have to assess because until today, he hasn’t done enough.”.
