REVEALED: Why Zinedine Zidane is yet to take up Manchester United Coaching Job.
There were claims of Manchester United having began negotiations over the weekend in an attempt to bring in Zinedine Zidane as United manager.
Duncan Castles also did report that Zidane was open to the possibility of accepting the offer.
United was reported to have made progress in persuading Zidane, but there is another drawback.
According to the report Zinedine Zidane wife is not eager, claiming: “According to a close friend, Veronique Zidane is not excited with the idea of living in Manchester and would prefer her husband to take a longer break before returning to football.”
The former Real Madrid manager had been linked with France’s managerial job and was ready to wait until the right time.
United were hopes to use the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane, two of his former players to lure him to join the Red Devils.
But the Manchester United Job should be a fancied one and the manager shouldn’t need to be persuaded.
Zidane, or whoever United wants to take over, should seize the opportunity if they are currently out of work.
There are clearly family reasons here that Zidane has to negotiate, but if it’s a role that he really wants, he will find a way to make it work.
Zidane resigned as the manager of Spanish la Liga giant Real Madrid after a mutual agreement with the club. While at the club he won three Champions League titles.
