Premier League star snubs Liverpool and Chelsea as he takes final decision on his next club

Liverpool and Chelsea summer target Raphinha has reportedly rejected an offer from both Premier League giants for a move to Spain

Raphinha reportedly turned down an offer from Liverpool to move to Anfield, according to Sport (via Liverpool Echo). The agent for the 25-year-old attacker is Deco, a former Barcelona player.

Raphinha has asked to stop a transfer move to Chelsea. The Brazilian’s £60 million transfer to Chelsea has been approved by Leeds United, but it appears the 25-year-old is more interested in moving to Camp Nou.

The Reds made an attempt to sign the player as well, but Raphina turned down the offer and is now focused on moving to Spain.

After excelling throughout his two seasons at West Yorkshire, the 25-year-old is close to making a move this summer. He has been one of Elland Road’s team’s best players.

The Brazilian was key to Jesse Marsch’s team remaining in the Premier League last season.

Top clubs in Europe have been fighting for the Leeds star’s services due to his strong performances. One of the teams interested in his services was Liverpool.

The Reds supporters won’t feel hard done by the refusal because Mohamed Salah has agreed to a contract extension. The Egyptian has been among the world’s top players since arriving at Anfield in 2017.

Raphinha is a left-footed player, who has spent the majority of his time for Leeds playing on the right. The right-hand side of the Reds attack is in fine hands for a few more years with Salah leading the line at Anfield.

This year, Liverpool has also made interesting acquisitions of other players. Since joining the Merseyside club in January, Luis Diaz has earned a spot for himself on the left of attack.

The Reds paid a high sum of money to sign Darwin Nunez during the summer transfer window after Sadio Mane left. Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino are both skilled at joining a team and are able to contribute.

Many Reds fans hope the Uruguayan forward will settle quickly into the Premier League and start banging goals.
