Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has changed his mind about how Liverpool should manage their midfield department according to reports,

Although the German manager has said repeatedly that he is happy with the “size and strength” of his team, it is now thought that the former Borussia Dortmund manager wants to add a new midfielder this summer due to injuries to several of his players in the middle of the field.

While Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all temporarily out with injury, Jordan Henderson and James Milner are now past their prime.

Jude Bellingham, the Reds’ top target from Borussia Dortmund, was thought to be willing to wait until next summer to join the club, but given how well Liverpool has started the season, Klopp is eager to make a move now rather than later.

The German tactician stated that he “didn’t know” if something was going to happen but that the team was “working” during his pre-Bournemouth press conference on Friday.

However, the 55-year-old asserted that he would only sign the “perfect” player and wouldn’t send a player to Merseyside merely for the purpose of it.

Many kop fans have been urging the club to bring in a new midfielder before the transfer market closes on September 1st, and it now seems that their requests may be fulfilled.

Bellingham has stated he will stay in Germany through the summer of 2019, so the club must have looked through a lot of other options that they deem to be suitable.

Recent names associated with a move to Anfield include Leandro Paredes, Moises Caicedo, and Frenkie De Jong, but we’ll have to wait and see what, if anything, transpires in the ensuing days.
